A venda de jogos no Japão está enfraquecida, as unidades
vendidas de títulos ou de consoles continua a nem atingir as
centenas de milhares como antigamente. Porém, as tendências se mantiveram; o
Nintendo 3DS liderando a tabela de hardware e mais de metade da
tabela de software sendo ocupada pelos seus jogos.
Porém, nas vendas
de consoles tivemos um fenômeno curioso: O Wii U vendeu quase
tanto como a PlayStation 4. O console da Sony ultrapassou o
Wii U por apenas 48 unidades. Já o PlayStation Vita, um fracasso de
vendas no ocidente, está conseguindo se manter no segundo lugar com
quase 13 mil unidades vendidas.
No que diz respeito a estreias, The
Idolmaster: One For All e Genkai Tokki: Moero Chronicle ocupam os dois
primeiros lugares da tabela respetivamente. Em contraste, Sonic &
All-Stars Racing Transformed e God of War Collection ficaram com as
duas últimas posições.
